Questions

Question 1 of 12MFA on email
Does every person need multi-factor authentication (MFA) to sign in to email, including on phones and webmail?

MFA means a second step after the password, such as a code or an app prompt.

This check is general guidance only, based on common themes in cyber insurance applications, not on any particular insurer's requirements. It isn't an insurance quote, legal or insurance advice, or a guarantee of coverage or terms, and it's provided as is, without any warranty. Every insurer sets its own requirements, so ask your broker or insurer. The answers on your actual application must be accurate, so never copy them from this check without confirming them.

Want us to look deeper?

Our free Microsoft 365 Security Assessment looks at MFA, admin accounts, sign-in security and the usual Microsoft 365 security gaps, then gives you a plain-English list of what to fix first.
